@trout: now that's a nice and shiny coin. 1/10th of an ounce is still quite a lot of money, to be honest...

I'm in Germany again and had some time for a coin raid, so I added to my stash:

- one Panda
- One Year of the Monkey
- two guldens (1955 and 1956)
- one dutch quarter (1945)

the other stuff was just waaaaay overpriced. Germany keeps high prices due to the huge popularity of the hobby.

Scored two rolls of 2 oz "Queens Beast". (Lots of faces were scratched)
- kilo lunar dragon (series 1)
- Scottsdale kilo bars
- 2 rolls each of Privateer "Siren", "Kraken"
These are really nice quality coin. Lots of depth from
The deep strike. All came in mint shape too.
Really want the 1 series privateer roll but prices have spiked!

This for $200. Nothing wrong with adding 10 ozs to the collection.

Added 11 walking liberties and a Ben Franklin (all half dollars, circulated), for $96 ($8/per). About 10% over melt. Pretty good deal in my mind. Cheaper than JMBullion. Should have bought more...

Grandson and I started buying silver last Decemember, last night I joined the local coin club, $5.00 year member ship. They hold a drawing every monthly meeting, $5.00 donation, 6 tickets for the money, and I was the first number drawan. Had first choice, and there was a Amark 1983 1 OZ Liberty silver, Life Liberty Happiness round. Only silver for the week. Webekin

My neighbor gave me this 1964 Washington quarter yesterday. His dog was chasing my cats. I think it was a peace offering.

Yesterday I bought a batch of commemorative and proof coins for slightly under melt for the gold and silver content. They won't be in my stash for long, as I intend to sell them all for mostly modest premiums over melt.
Highlights: US Constitution proof $5 gold, and silver dollar, 3 prestige proof sets, 2009 18 piece silver proof set, Statue of Liberty and Lewis and Clark commemorative silver dollars, 2 sets of 5 silver State Quarters.
