"probabilities are on my side" Indeed sir the only way to go.... I buy so many vast items on ebay in different genres (I am no expert on anything but I know a little about many collecting angles) that I try to hit 8 out of 10 and if I can do that be it clear even just 5 bucks after ebay and shipping then I will win in long run... I sold some Disney Black hole toys via 12 figure set Mego from 1979/80 and custom case for 1175 other day and had less in it then than by some bit. I do that often but sometimes I will sell a piece at 300 that I had 315 in and take it on chin via ebay and ship cause I just need the cash again and that item sat TOO long so time to admitt defeat and move on and maybe the next piece that prior failed venture money goes into will pay ten fold.... You do the same thing pretty much I figure Yup, just on a larger scale via money made no doubt in the digi world, where I work in the physical. We both got one thing in common, a large EMP pulse would shut us both down fast lol.... Edited by Silverhawk74

Unless you have hedge fund money that can move prices on their own the whole goal is to just have bigger gains than losses, trying to be perfect isn't going to happen. A mixture of safe bets and some risks should accomplish that. In a lot of ways we always over complicate things trying to outsmart everyone which just leads to making bad choices. Heck half the time you could do pretty well just investing in huge things that you constantly use every day, if youre using it all the time other people likely are as well. |

Just wanted some thoughts before the week starts
THe price action thus far hasnt been encouraging if you are looking for higher prices in gold and silver. A bounce up on the Fed day, only to lost steam the next two days. No follow through.
This upcoming week, the first thing to watch and observe is if the gains from 9/18 are all given up. Seeing that reverse and go below would be a negative for prices going forward.
Silver is in the exact same camp as gold in terms of recent price action. Who knows what happens next, what always works for me is watching price action and waiting for confirmation.
There you have it, that would be my first go to reaction on gold and silver, seeing of the 9/18 gains hold or not.

I suspect we are about to see a substantial fall in spot this week across the pm board and some serious buying potentials are gonna present themselves....

so just a quick look here middle of the day
GLD- makes a lower low and now flat, looks to me like its coming into support price wise. You;ll notice however no higher high over the Friday close
SLV- identical price action to GLD.
Should be an interesting week, I tend to think, based on price, this is a pause before more lower prices, taking away the move made on 9/18

Just wanted to point out-
for those following at home, take a look at the move GLD has put in here in the past 15 mins. Lower all day and then a move up.
Does this hold? I don't know but these kind of moves, spikes I find interesting.
Keep an eye today on GLD and see if it does a reversal today. SLV also appears to be doing the same thing.

As I pointed out here a couple of weeks ago that Goldman Sachs had "predicted" $1000/oz gold going forward and they've now reiterated that statement. So for people like me, it might be a good time to take some profits and re-buy after. Everybody else waiting for better price to purchase, well you just might have your chance. It seems that for the Chinese wives who have no clue who GS is, continue to buy gold relentlessly and could be the counterweight to even lower prices? http://www.caseyresearch.com/cdd/ch...s-no-contest  Since January 1, gold ETF holdings have fallen by roughly a quarter (26%, according to GFMS). But Chinese housewives aren't refraining from buying and certainly aren't selling: The red dotted line represents the total outflows of GLD through last Tuesday. yes I have seen things said along those lines, but again, no amount of physical buying is going to really change the situation with gold now, its still a broken ass.
..... and I do think yes, we could see lower prices in time. gold and silver at best are broken assets.

more later but the price action today just was really pathetic.
Just imagine, a lot of folks are worried about a government shut down, and yet gold and silver do nothing. Whats that tell you about price action?

The commercial premiums went down on Silver. I don't know how many non dealers are aware of that. What does that tell you?

Well I had said we would see a big fall this week and of course nothing more then sideways movement....
I still can't help but feel a big drop is glooming still yet, perhaps Friday will follow last Friday's unusual course and pull back big again going into weekend....
I noticed at pump today gas was close to 3 bucks per gallon and I know that is low for most of country and world as I live in one of the most low cost of living areas on the planet via east TN....
I could not count on calculator how many have moved down here around river where I work in last 15 years and they get the same caliber home they had in Michigan, or Cali, or Florida, or Ohio, down here for half the cost and no state tax and again way low cost of living compared to just about anywhere in country....
We have great mountains and lakes and one of the most visited national parks in the entire world in Gatlinburg and very mild winners as I have not even seen substantial snow in last 20 years or so of my near 40 year life. Where as early on we got lots of snow....
I know thats a bit off subject but interesting this weather warming cycle and being where I am located on equator I have seen it first hand in my lifetime, just as people in Greenland and similar areas have seen eons old ice glaciers just melt away in a couple of years....
