I figured you did. Nickels are good to save as well. Yes I've read about China this weekend as well. The only problem with silver being low are premiums still high (at least where I buy from) on junk silver. So the purchases I think are pretty good are the 5 oz ATB coins having both intrinsic silver value plus being collectible.

Quote: ,,Buy silver hoard Copper and Zinc,,,,,Cosmos OK, this is getting a little creepy, considering it ends every post. I'm imagining a room full of cultists chanting it over and over... what's that on the blood-stained altar?! Yes, it's a bunch of hooded figures pouring a screaming gallon jar of pennies into the fires of heck. Soon... the nickels will follow... and one day... the dimes too,,,, *Satan's laughter echoes from deep within your soul*

Cosmos do you roll search for silver? I did a while back but the banks I bank with kind of give a hard time about getting boxes of halves. I have found a few hunting like that. Thanks for the info on buying. I don't like to buy online. I like to buy locally. No one else involved the more that know even if you don't have much, the more chance for theft or just them having a big mouth and telling others. UPS and post office know what is delivered for the most part as well. I know many do online. I just am leary on it. Many posters even on these bOards don't post anymore

Yes when I found silver in roll searches it was like winning on a scratchoff lottery ticket! My best find was when I just asked a teller if any halbes were avail and they said $13.50. I took them and $6 were 40percent. Best find for me

I wanted to point out this morning that gold is now leaving its previous range and decisively moving up higher into the second area of this range.
Whats also interesting is its entering that 6/20 gap we had which was a point where we experienced heavy selling. So there will be a lot of resistance and yet that gap, running into it makes price action interesting on the short term.

Lets look at our guide, the price action-
We have gold now breaking out of its current range. Its wrestling again with that big gap down from 6/19. As you can see, the successive higher highs and higher lows resulted in this move that took it out of the range.
Where we go from here depends on how it deals with overhead resistance. There is a lot of overhead resistance in the form of price memory and it could create more chop.
Remember too that despite moving out of this current range, it doesn't mean the downtrend is snapped. There is plenty of work ahead and we must take every move with level by level. Whats key is that as the ranges are broken, that they hold and continue to move up. That is how this downtrend, in the overall longer context, will be broken.
Looking at our proxy, GLD, for today it ended with a higher high and higher low as it moved out of this range.
Silver continues to just chop around in the middle. Whats interesting to note is how it has not yet ripped out of its range. Will it follow gold higher or diverge. Will the correlation between gold and silver be broken going forward? Again, only time will tell.
For our proxy, SLV gave a lower high but higher low.
So there you have it, we have gold on the move, and silver still just chopping in the middle. Keep an eye if silver is going to start to catch up to gold. As for gold, see how it handles with that 6/19 gap. Does price repeat up there as last time?
Finally, some long long long term targets.
Looking at gold, what would interest me in getting behind it? For me, breaking a long term trendline would be important to start a long in gold. gold gets me interested over 1434. Silver gets my attention at a break of 25.12.
In both those cases, we have a bit to go. Perhaps we get there, perhaps we dont. At this stage we have to see how long gold stays above its current range. With silver, we need to see if its going to muster enough price to get it out of the range its currently sitting in.

I usually dont like to put up links and what not. But I had a chuckle and couldn't resist putting this one up. There has been a constant flow of misinformation in the gold and silver camp. CB's are not supporting gold and silver, that much is clear. And not surprising, no one on this forum has dared made mention of this news. Anyways, this is a very informative piece, the best part is the graph with the data. I;ll be back with a wrap up later on today. http://www.thereformedbroker.com/20...dium=twitter

Tomorrow could bring us a catalyst and fireworks in the PMs when the FOMC meetings are released. As I always say, pay attention to the REACTION not the news.
Last time we had or FOMC meetings we got quite the fireworks with a big move in gold and silver. That move was later erased and it all appeared as the next leg lower in gold and silver was on its way. That however did not happen and we instead saw a reversal in price, a counter trend rally.
For gold, a major spike would really propel gold out of its current range. As of now its sitting right at the upper range. Silver is just milling around, not doing much of anything, just bouncing around in the middle so to speak. Perhaps tomorrow we get something that pushes silver in some sort of direction.
Lets look at our proxies and what they did today- (compared to yesterday)
SLV- higher low, lower high.
GLD- lower high, lower low.
As always, keep an open eye. Remember that counter trend rallies can happen within an overall trend. It takes time for these things to play out and every single day that goes by is painting a picture and giving us clues as to what price wants to do.
For now, we are in a downtrend, in a short term frame we have gold attempting to reverse higher, silver continues to chop and base around. IF it is to break this downtrend, moving out of ranges is key, followed by holding them and continuing to move up and away from them, not dropping back into them. This will take a lot of buying.
So sit tight and lets see what happens, taking everything level by level.

Silver isn't backing down to it's $21 range. Maybe it finally broke free? I would love for it to go back down after I have some bills paid off!
