I just picked this up. I'm not very familiar with Peace dollars. What do you think this would grade?   |

I want to say MS on the luster alone, but it almost looks like a weak strike. Can someone confirm?

The luster definitely shows MS but I believe it's been polished. MS-63 Details. Hope you didn't pay too much.

I don't collect Peace dollars, but I have some kicking around here. I'm by no means an expert but I don't think this has been polished at all. I see what you are talking about zxcccxz but I think that's just a nice frosted surface  I wasn't going to comment on grade but since we are throwing guesses around I would say MS63.  |

I see quite a few very small nicks and scratches on the reverse. The obverse is better, looks to be reasonably well struck, fewer nicks and scratches than the reverse. Lustre is very good. I am no expert on Peace dollars, but the feathers on the eagle's back do look a bit weak to me, and the 'P' in PLURIBUS looks to be barely there, in this picture. Looks a bit like a '?'. MS63. |

Wow, she's just dripping with luster! I don't think she's been polished at all, I have a few peace and Morgan's that look much like this.. That flowing liquid luster. Definitely a weak strike but not cleaned in the least. I'm at MS-63 possibly even a 64 for this one.. Really nice Peace dollar, again the lusters great! |

Hammered, and great luster. 64, and I only say 64 because of the marks above dollar on the reverse, otherwise I'd go 65.

It looks good to me. Average strike for the series with a nice touch of frost on the eagle. I agree with 63+/64. Nice eye appeal for me.
