Ok I get your point. Yes it really looks the same picture of the coin with finger and edges photoshopped. I was referring as the coin itself and thought you were implying that this was an "image" created with photoshop. My misunderstanding, sorry.
It's probably enhanced a bit as well, I agree they probably played with shadows and lighting.
Not my fingers, so I can't really tell.

Someone from the other forum called the rep and confirmed that they will only sell GL subscriptions not the single coins on mint.ca. That means that we are going to have much more sets than singles(which can be purchased through dealers). I think the coin itself looks great and I'm glad that I've ordered 1 set. And thanks for the hands-on photo=]

Quote:Someone from the other forum called the rep and confirmed that they will only sell GL subscriptions not the single coins on mint.ca. for now it seems to be not correct, since on the mint.ca the single Lake Superior coin is available. There are no single "2014 O Canada" coins on the website, but it looks like the'll start to appear since January release.

I didn't read nothing about that in the other forum, who said that?
It's hard to believe to me that dealers won't have access to the subscriptions.

From rep: "There are no single coins. ONLY subscriptions. The total mintage is 10,000. We will never advertise false information."
(This was from a post in a Chinese forum westca.com)
I don't see the single GL coin on the website(it could be only available to MC members). And yes, it could be the case that the singles would appear eventually if the subs are not entirely sold out. I personally hope that they sell more singles =]

@arianzo I didnt mean that the dealers won't get to sell the subscriptions. Sorry for the confusion.I meant to say was that essentially there is no limit on the subscription (up to 10000 minus any number singles sold). Please correct me if I got it wrong =]

So, that's what I thought. The RCM didn't put a subs quantity ahead, it just will be according sales of the Subs vs single coins. This dynamic distribution is very comfortable approach for Mint - since both (the sub and first individual coin) will be always available in parallel.

moneytree: I have no idea. The only I know is that I've an email from my RCM Rep. advertising this GL subscription with a mintage of 1500 and then a confirmation email. I'll copy here: "Just confirm me that the total boxes (subscriptions) are 1500 so up to 8500 coins would be sold individually. (the web page info is ambiguous). If that the case, I go for 1 subscription." Answer: "Correct arianzo. Cheers, I have placed the order."

Yes but Albern is selling individual GL, the allocation of singles to dealers would also reduce the number of coins that would go into sets.

@arianzo Thanks for the reply! I do certainly hope the 1500 mintage for the sub holds true =]
Do you guys think CP will get the GL coin/sub? I need to pay almost $10 S&H per coin...I'd like to get them from CP if possible.
