Another A.I. generated caption! For those not in the know, ebay has a new feature where, after you have typed the title of your listing, you can have A.I. write your product description.

The AI generated coin descriptions make me puke. Every single coin is a "must have for the serious collector". Even 196095444128

Quote:eBay item number: 166459269940...Please keep your kids & their crayons away from my coins... @mrwiskers, I would pay the starting price of $0.99 for that. There is a real collector interest in good quality "hobo" coins, and some of the better art work sells for a decent amount. I don't know enough to assess the merits of this particular item.

Not a "bad coin auction" - just idiotic bidders. I made the mistake of buying a lot of tokens in a Washington Surplus auction last year for less than $15. After the 20% buyers premium, 16% (?) sales tax, and inflated shipping, they cost me almost $50. Never again. So the "winner" of this auction will end up paying at least 2X what a BU 1945 Dos Pesos can be had on ebay Buy it Now ($114, free shipping). And it's not even close to BU!!!

Quote: an "aluminum" penny I don't see that word anywhere in the listing, but they did manage to get $250 for a "1974 Penny no mint mark RARE AND FINE CONDITION" Their only sale in the last 12 months. 404598468346

Mrwiskers, it's probably plated. Bad news to the buyer who bought it.
Errers and Varietys.
