I have a 1970 Canadian nickel dollar - not really a pocket piece, but has been my flipping coin to decide who throws first rock at the curling rink for the last decade...

Here is my "pocket piece"....well, really on my keychain, but goes with me everywhere.... I had a real coin in there at 1 time until I noticed it started wearing it down, so I put a "COPY" coin in it's place to literally save face....

I got to start doing this sooner or later. The problem is I wear thin shorts in the summer time and often times I've had things such as coins fall out.

That's the reason why I often times don't carry coins on me.

The current state of the pocket. If I had better photography and lighting skills I might be able to do the coins justice. They show a whole lot more wear in a dark room against a light (I guess that is according to other posts why TPG's don't wear gloves or use magnification just a cubicle and a light) http://goccf.com/t/223332

And here I thought the 2013 ASE, 1883-O Morgan, and 1953-D Franklin half (which is only there to un-polish it) that currently go around with me was a lot!

I just started with a morgan and a franklin. I have found that more than 2 silver coins is a real pain in the ear. How did people back then not go crazy with high pitched church bells going off in their pockets with every step pre64?

This is more of a wallet piece then a pocket piece. My birthyear is 1988 so when I saw this was from 1888 I felt like I needed this. Now this resides in my wallet. I work construction so having items in my pocket doesn't go to good with my tool pouch and me having to move so much. Anywho

Quote: That MNS piece is looking nice! Luckily the rim scrape and the rim bumps from when I dropped it in the bank parking lot one time have worn out. If only I could accurately capture the beautiful purple and blue toning it has developed.

I want a pocket piece, but am not willing to risk anything from my collection. I'm thinking about getting an extremely worn Morgan.
