Mine have obviously not worn down enough as I can still stand them on end even on a rough surface. There's no way the other coins on my desk could stand up unless I took them to a lathe first to square them up.

My 2011 1 ounce buffalo silver round is not toning. I don't know how long I have had it in my pocket. It has been a while! And no toning! How?

@SilverStackerKid
Toning is difficult to appear on pocket pieces because of the constant wear on the coin. The wear removes most toning, though I'd imagine some could appear near high devices/lettering over time.

Quote: My 2011 1 ounce buffalo silver round is not toning. I don't know how long I have had it in my pocket. It has been a while! And no toning! How? My MNS medal started toning in under a year. It was in a pocket all by itself. I can only assume it had something to do with a certain laundry detergent or type of fabric of the pockets material. As mentioned above mine seems to be around the devices and not the fields. It has not spread or grown since it first started a few years ago My Ellis Island and ASE had not shown any signs of toning in 7 months and have been exposed to the same conditions as my toned medal has for the last 4 years.

Here's two I'm just starting if I can get used to the clanking sound. I've found that I can only stand 2 silver coins in my pocket jangleing around probably due to my big ears like the nana emoji ... has anyone else had this problem with the sound of more than 2 large silver coins annoying you?

To me, that would be a sweet sound indeed - like when I was a kid!

That 1893 S is still at least a $20 coin. I personally wouldn't.

My grandfather carried this in his pocket for as long as I can remember. He always liked to show it to the grandkids whenever we saw him. After he passed away, I was able to get it with a part of his coin collection. Personally, this would be my most valuable coin.
