pennysaver Pillar of the Community Canada 937 Posts	Posted 04/24/2014 6:11 pm You can get spectacular effects in the 1944-45 nickels as well, where the same effect is there but to a much greater degree. It almost looks like a spiderweb running all over the coin. The plated nickels were prone to this damage if exposed to inclement conditions. Kind of cool, really. Report this Post to the Staff
