Just received e-mail from SGB regarding shipping delay on RCM's Superman Coin "This is a courtesy email to update you on the estimated shipping date for your order. The Royal Canadian Mint has contacted us (please see email below) to advise that the Superman coins will be delayed in shipping to us by up to two weeks. We had originally advertised an estimated shipping date for orders containing these coins as September 8, 2014, but as a result of this delay we now estimate these orders to ship September 22, 2014.."

I'd like to know where 30,000 silver coins went? Most dealers are sold out! A few have for a higher price & J&M coins not listing. Hard to believe can't find silver at issue, so soon after release. Plus not a ton of silver listings on ebay either. Something's wrong with this picture.

Is it possible that, seeing last year success, those four coins (Superman 2014) were commissioned by a private dealer (maybe from the US)?
Remember how last year's Maple Piedfort was scarce via the regular channels (RCM, CP, etc) but it turned out that SilverTowne commissioned them and they now sell for way below retail (I've heard that ST were selling them for $US50 in a flash sale yesterday)?

Yeah the silvers went just as fast as the gold yesterday on the Canada Post website. I'd say they were up there for about 3 hours and then they were sold out.

I wonder what happened to the 2000 Gold Superman coins when no one except a few lucky MC members were able to buy them. The Post Office had none. Even the Vancouver Mint Boutique had none. It looks like dealers bought the bulk of the gold coins. Practically every dealer had them. Quote: Yeah the silvers went just as fast as the gold yesterday on the Canada Post website The gold coin was never on Canada Post's website.

@MoneyPenney: I know, I was just comparing how quick the gold coin went during the Masters Club pre-release vs the release of the silvers on Canada Post. The silvers on Canada Post went just as fast as the gold. I should have worded it better haha!

J&M is sold out directly.
I doubt they commissioned Superman coins, just dealers buying most of them.
Do you remember how many days the silver Superman coins lasted on Mint site?

Lots of speculation - no hard evidence.
Let's be patient and hopefully all will be revealed...
P.S. Welcome back Pocket Change!

All the Superman coins are back up at the Mint! Gold was there for a few minutes but it is awaiting stock now! It disappeared in the blink of an eye!

looking at the 2013 history the release to the public was dated sept 09...soldout by sept 16 except L set.but ..still available at CP...sept 23 soldout at CP except for vintage
thats about as far as I've got but I think its safe to say this release has soldout faster

Quote: All the Superman coins are back up at the Mint! Gold was there for a few minutes but it is awaiting stock now! It disappeared in the blink of an eye! They minted a few more. 2000 or 2010 - no big deal. Btw, The Coin Shoppe has $15 and $20 Superman coins available. I still think, that the new allocation batches will arrive...
