I in LIBERTY is crooked, is this an error, or is it just caused from wear? L is pretty funky too, but I'm pretty sure that's just due to wear.

I did a close crop & used straight lines drawn in Photoshop to illustrate the angle of the I

1958-D-Wheat-Penny---Error-Or-Wear-?

The red line is perfectly parallel with the back of the B, the green line is perfectly parallel with the red line & therefore should be parallel to the I, but you can see it's even with the I at the bottom, but there's a gap up top.

So, error, or wear ?

wait for the experts, but the tilted I may have been caused by a coin rolling machine

Looks damaged. The die didn't strike it that way. Rim is distorted. PSD

here's the full obverse:

No rim distortion, but I was thinking more damage or wear instead of error anyway. Just wanted to make sure that was indeed the case before I tossed it into a 'bag-o-Wheaties'!

Thanks for the rapid replies :)
