I have had an interest in ancient coins for nearly 40 years, but I will still happily buy cheapie Roman coins if the price is OK. Check out the VCOINS site. Put in 'Philip 1 sestertius' into the search. Quite a few should show up, that are currenly available for sale. Compare your acquisition, primarily with condition as the main criterion, to check your coin against those you may have found. The numismatic love for ancient coins will never leave you. Interestingly, you will eventually realise that you never actually own an ancient coin, you can never be more than the current custodian of them. Report this Post to the Staff
