I bought three quarters (Virgin Islands, Glacier, and Bicentennial) and a Bicentennial Half from a friend at face.

Got a Bicen half and an extremely pretty 1971 half today, along with a 2006 note whose serial number is written entirely in trinary (0, 1, 2). Gonna press the note, then throw it into trades, but I think I'll keep the halves.

Oh man, a motherlode of stuff tonight but mostly WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR NICKEL!! First ever D-mint! 1945, a real beaut (I'd say VF)--and tarnished so little that at first I didn't even think it was a War Nickel, and only when I saw the date did I go "gsdfho--OHMIGOD BIG MINTMARK!" Other finds tonight include: one German Euro one-cent, one 2006 peso (someday I need to throw some of these up for trade), one 1949 nickel, one 1939-S nickel, one Canadian 1999 cent, three wheats (all 1940s-50s), two 2009 pennies and a very pretty 1972 cent. Last night: bicentennial half, very pretty 1971 half, a 2009, a 1940's wheat, and a dollar with the serial number 02102112. I figure someone will want it. Edited by ninamason

Raymo, it's funny because I just got transferred to a new store and made a real stink about it (I'm the one who held my first store together when drama happened with our old manager, I can walk the aisles just about in my sleep and tell you what we need to order, little bitty obscure things people want once a year I can tell them where they are, moving means losing part of my paycheque, nobody asked whether a drastic change in my schedule would screw up the non-job portion of my life, etc.). Enough of my regulars also made a stink about it that "you're being moved permanently" was changed to "wellllllll they need people up there but we don't know yet how people will feel so . . . . "
You might have noticed my finds getting thin on the ground, yeah? Well, these last two days were just at the new store. I think I've been getting recycled change at my mother store.

Nina, I could just imagine working cash/change all night or day. Us coin roll hunting geeks would have a blast, lol. My wife used to work 7/11 and she would get really good stuff all the time. That was back in the late 70's.

My dad just got back from a weekend in Vegas and he brought back five BU 2012 D Hawaii quarters from his change out there.
Which is perfect for my album seeing as how we live on the east coast and I would be hard pressed to find BU in change over here.

While it's not a US coin, I did come across a 10p coin from Great Britian that I am going to stash in my miscellaneous coin bottle. All foreign coins that I come across go in there. While a lot of my finds are not truly noteworthy, I do enjoy them.

This might not be the forum for it, but I did find a interesting bill the other day that I am saving for liars poker.
The s/n is 111173111 - not a particularily high number, but lots when it comes to repeating. I don't think that it's worth anything except for liars poker.
