I understand it completely VK, and you are free to believe as you wish( not trying to be a dirtbag here). I greatly accept your criticism, and I did not mean to come across as you have described. I would like to say though,that you are also a bit of an instigator in the matter as well. I had not mentioned Theodosius in any negative context until page 6 , when I simply stated that I was reading a book about the late Roman Empire and that he was featured prominently, and that he was a bit of a zealot. You then instigated the matter a bit more( you had to know that posting 5 or 6 coins of the man, with a devil face emoticonwas going to get a reaction or two from me). Finally, If I caused any discontent or hard feelings toward you please accept my sincere apologies. Can we live and let live  Best. Edited by Augustus Maximus

You're right, my attempt to poke a bit of friendly fun at you went a bit south, I apologize too. I don't take offense at your (reasonable) opinion but I felt like it was constantly being kind of pushed on me. Only glad we could resolve this issue peacefully (its hardly an issue but I can't think of a better word to describe this). Edited by VisigothKing

Sorry but I haven't been following this or any other thread very much lately. AM I understand your dislike for Theodosius, personally I feel he wasn't as bad as some. IMO there were very few emperors that I would consider worthy of the title. Even than they had their faults. AS far as I'm concerned whether good or bad they all play a great part in history. I think at this point we are all well aware of your dislike of him so I don't think bring it up again is necessary.

Its small and cute, still has some nice detail, of course I likey! To your question, yeah its from Lucernae, bought it a few years ago. But ever since reading about your fake sand patina thread, I am starting to doubt its sand. Edited by VisigothKing

I think I will pass on that coin. My thinking is that if the dealer is willing to fake a patina, what is going to stop him from faking a coin?

Nah I'm good, thanks My comment was in case I really was considering buying it. Even without the patina its something I'm not really interested in right now. |
