I recently sold some 90% US silver here at 17.5x face.
My quarters were a mixed lot of Barbers, SL, and Washingtons. My dimes were also a mixed lot: Barbers, Mercs, and Roosies.
I'm sure I could have seen a higher X factor if I held out for a few days (especially because of the Barbers), but I was looking for an easy sale and wanted to do right by my fellow collectors here on the forum.
Haven't been to a show in 6 months but wih silver hovering above $23/ozt I bet 20 to 25x is common for retail prices.

I wish I saw your sale at 17.5 I just paid 20x for 250 dimes. Supposed to be Roosevelts but I found a nice Merc right on top of the first roll

US silver is so hot right now it doesn't last long at any price.
90% is flying out the door and Silver Eagles are smoking hot. A roll of 20 goes for $800 on some marketplaces these days if you can find them!

90% junk in central KS 5:00 pm yesterday LCS 22× next week if silver holds I expect 23× everyone else in Topeka and Wichita $23.80 face. its available out here and you get pick at good stuff if your going to buy 6-7 hundred worth quarters and halfs and dimes. I know several old-timer who sold alot of 90% out of their hoards last 2 years a big sale to me is 3 4or 500 in face. I get to help out sometimes and do it for free...those old timers tolerate me as a youngster at 59 LOL these cats are upper 70's and have been stacking 30 - 40 years with 3 booms and 4 busts. I feel privileged to watch listen and learn. Folks around here have silver stress rubber banding back and forth and have been buying at 20 -22 an ounce troy for 5-6 months that 24 bucks woke some people up and now want to sell and buy. I love being a silverback gorilla uuo uuo

@ jeffbucks
and you can never have enough of either. I have been focused on 90% lately but I did get one "monster box" of eagles last year and will try for another this year if the cash flow is avilable. Eagles seem like a tough buy right now but then again they aren't making any more pre 1964 90% silver to snap up so eventually supply will begin to limit. Probably not in my lifetime

Bought some Barbers last week for 20x. Didn't figure it was that good of a deal.

Were the Barbers decent or slicks?
Slicks don't deserve a premium but anything G-4 and above usually carries a numismatic premium, which is no good for stackers, but makes sense to collectors.

LCS had a price today of 21x-22x (22x for halves, 21x for the rest). That equates to a price of $23.97/ounce to $30.77/ounce. By comparison, their generic 1 oz silver rounds were spot plus $6 per ounce.

I'll buy junk silver when it hits 14.48x face value. I may have to wait a while ...

90% silver traded in that range for awhile last year. Spot was down to about $17 for a bit. But I'm in a selling mood these days so I'm happy with spot around $24. I sold a bunch of US 90% silver here in the forums including Barbers for around 17.5x a few weeks ago. Could have held out for more but I dont like to haggle.
PS: No such thing as "junk" silver to me! I love all silver...
