Nickles will be my next album to see how far I can get from circulation rolls. Should be able to get a box at a time without the fiance getting mad about the money spent, though she's starting to understand that what I don't keep goes back for same value so that helps. So far it's just been boxes of cents at 25$ a pop.

@RollHunter - Believe it or not, the 4 Buffalo nickels came out of 5 bank rolls... not customer rolled coins. Luck of the draw.

Just for fun I thought I'd share some photos of the 1943-D I pulled the other night, in case Nickelsearcher is confused as to what they look like

Ok so its been awhile since I made it thru a box. Found 21 Pre 60's. Oh, another 43D. My 3rd one. Sorry Nickelsearcher. Tell ya what, Dylansdad and I are long time friends. Come over some night and do some searching with us and we will slip an "extra" 43d in your roll. :)

Got a 1920 buffalo at work tonight from the roll of nickels I had in my drawer
but before I opened it the nickels already opened had a 1944S
hole filler!
only the 20 is showing the 19 is really faded and the 20 is faded as well
considered a partial date right?
is this better then a no date or is it still basically worthless
I'm stoked anyways maybe I can get my girl to take some pics for me so I can post them
oh yeah that makes my oldest nickel found!

I finished up my 10th box of nickels. I got a Jamaican $5 coin ($0.06 US), another 1943P, a very nice 1946(P), and my second 1955(P).

Finished one box tonight: 4 wartimers (43s,2x44p,45p), 1x38d, 2x39p, 2x46s, plus 25 pre-59s. One UAE coin;not bad for a Nickel box.

Went through another 7 rolls tonight. I pretty much do 7 rolls of nickels and 7 of pennies every night - it lets me go through a box a week without too much trouble.

Had a pretty good night tonight...at least in my opinion anyway

1946-S, 1948-D, 1949, 1951-D, 1952, 1957-D, and a 1996 Great Britain 20-pence.

Adam5 -- you mentioned a Jamaican $5 coin.

I was going through my son's box of the foreign coins that I've found and saw one of these. I briefly wondered what its equivalent US value is. But then I though "looks like a nickel, is about the same size as a nickel ... is probably worth about a nickel "

$40 in nickels today.

1 war - 1944 S
1 Panama Nickel 1982
1 Canadian 1982
1939, 1941(2), 1947 and 1957D(2)

Happy about the war, but the pre-60 rate was pretty low. Oh, and five 2009P's. Still haven't seen a 2010 nickel.

Found my first 1959-D Black Beauty tonight. Then, a few minutes later - found a full red 1959 LMC. Makes me wish I had some dimes, quarters or halves to search. Black, red, and silver - reminds me of Karma Chameleon LOL
