Gary, there are a few of the 1925 Australian pennies on ebay right now. Brace yourself!!!

The Aussie 1925 in aaverage circulation grade would set you back about AU$160.00. Most Aussie coin dealers would have them in stock. I have one or two.

I would love to own one.

As a retired teacher, I will have to wait...maybe forever.

However, I'll keep this coin in mind in case I happen upon a sudden "windfall."

I have seen just almost fine grade ones going for close to $200 bucks, very fine to almost extra fine about the $400 dollar mark. A good mate of mine on the Aussie Forum bought a true extra fine one for $800, but that was a long time ago. I would think it woud be nearer the 1K mark now. Grades above that is when it starts to really hurt the pocket.
