@New1954
You have not upset me at all. I appreciated your alert post. Please keep them coming.
What upset me was that a VIP rep at CC&C misinformed me and caused me to miss buying the gold coin.
I missed the chance to buy it because of her.
Lesson learned. I won't believe anyone at that store anymore. That person could have been misinformed herself, so I don't blame her either. No big deal. I'll get one somewhere.

I am not sure about North America (cause we have a lot of everything), but in Europe, according to knowledgeable source from the other forum, the Star Trek is a big thing. And people still not aware about gold coin is coming. Sure, they have a lot of money to spend on the coins (according the prices on European sites), and looks like the Star Trek will be just grabbed out of shelves.
In addition, some posts on the other forum could show, that even here, people try to unload previous coins in order to be able to get the amounts of the Star Trek editions.

I ordered 3 gold Star Trek coins and I just noticed that my Master's Club membership level renewed for Platinum Plus, so for anyone wondering if it goes towards your MC level it does!

@Looney4Numi, Are you looking for your first gold Star Trek? You didn't get one from the RCM? If so, I understand your frustration in not getting one. I only got one, thought about getting a 2nd one but $1300 is a lot of money for me. Most expensive single coin I ever bought. Actually $1300 is close to the amount for a Hawaiian cruise I was planning.

By selling the one that you bought, you would probably upgrade your Hawaiian vacation :)
That's true, for many of us it is very big money.

I'm curious to know how many of these coins were sold to the elite master club members especially with no limit.

@jsinger21 Wouldn't we all like to know those stats!! I still cannot get over that the RCM did not place limit restrictions on this coin. Could it be they went after clients with deep pockets? Or were they rewarding their best clients? Anyone....thoughts?

I will admit to purchasing one, watching and waiting, then got a call from the Rep, who inspired me to get a second one. If the information provided by all the good souls here is correct, I will sell one - hopefully at a profit - just so I can justify keeping a coin that's price point was beyond what I would normally buy. (Don't tell my wife!!)

It's no different than some RCM dealers who with hold stock and instantly raises prices on the few hot items a year

LOL....@dcadon Don't know your wife, so your secret is safe with me. I, too, went for it. Ordered 2 from RCM and only 1 from CC&C. I have no clue on how to sell a coin. I just store all my collections in plastic bins for future posterity. Don't tell anyone about my plastic bins. LOL
