Hi all,
This is a 1938D Jefferson nickel my son and I found last May when we were starting out coin roll hunting.

Right now, it is the only 1938D we've found it is in his coin folder. I wanted to seek the advice of this knowledgeable group on the grade of this coin and if I should remove it from our set and wait for a 2nd one (or if I should leave it in his $4 folder.

Thanks!

This is a fairly decent 38-D . AU55 . Chances of finding a better one CRH is pretty slim . So it's your call on what to do with it .

that is a sharp looking coin. leave it in the folder. not a high dollar coin and you probably wont find one better for face value

Thanks for all the responses! I agree, I doubt I'll find a nicer one. I'll keep it with the set based on the feedback. Just didn't want to harm a nice coin. Thanks again!
