1955 Wheat Penny Something Wrong On The Reverse

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 05/17/2017 2:59 pm When a device is partially filled on a die, some parts of a device will be missing because of the grease in the die. It prevents the devices to be formed. This can some from a blob of grease in a device or after wiping a sie with a cloth part of the device gets un-evenly blocked. Sometimes devices are altered by the Grease Fill or are totally missing if there was a lot of grease in the dies when you coin was struck. The 80% block and more are the interesting ones to error collectors. Just a partial blockage is common and not as desirable to collectors. Report this Post to the Staff
