Many of the NZ Commemorative coins from the 70's & 80's were fairly chunky, weighing 27g-28.28g and with a diameter of 38.61 mm.
A tad bigger than my beloved Ike. Nice!

Here is an unusual commemorative token minted in England 1825.
Issac Earlysman Sparrow was an Ironmonger who had his business at Bishopsgate London. He was a man with a fascination for hot air balloons. On June 23rd, 1823 he paid Charles Green, a famous balloonist of the time, the princely sum of 50 shillings sterling to accompany him on a flight. Mr Sparrow went on to issue a 22mm sized memento of his daring. The obverse bears his capped bust while the reverse shows an ascending balloon. Closer examination shows the banner `Sparrow' across the balloon. The flags being waved bear the initials S on one and G on the other.

I've seen the Earlysman Sparrow token before and think it is fascinating. Nice acquisition!

Yes. And you would not be the first person to repeat in one of these long ongoing threads.
