I own nearly all Japanese commemoratives (except gold) until they got crazy with the 47 Prefectures series in the late 2000s.

It's crazy to hold the 10,000 yen coin; same buying power as a $100 bill! There was also a gold 100,000 yen produced this year, but that's just crazy talk.
