I remember in the movie Grease "Brusha, brusha, brusha with the new Ipana..." Great to see you plugging along 999. The road goes on forever. Haven't found anything in the past week I couldn't grab up. Late edit! 150 pages milestone!  I need to get at least one new medal for this page to make it official. Edited by TNG

I am a relative newcomer to the world of exonumia and this forum as well. It has been a real pleasure to participate with other collectors here. 1960 Boy Scouts Of America Heraldic Art Medal This medal seems to command a premium when offered for sale over at least half of the others in this 60 "Regular Issue" sterling medals, and 7 "Occasional Piece" sterling silver medals. There were 67 medals in all in a set. I think this is my 29th different issue in my collection. Quote:

Scout Mission: The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.  While president, Theodore Roosevelt established a relationship with James West, who would become BSA's first Chief Scout Executive. In 1902, Roosevelt appointed West to the Board of Pension Appeals in the Department of the Interior. When the Boy Scouts of America was founded in 1910, Roosevelt became an ardent booster of the organization. Roosevelt also served as the first council commissioner of Nassau County Council. As a former president, he was elected honorary vice president of the Boy Scouts of America and through his active involvement in the BSA, Roosevelt was the only man ever to be designated as Chief Scout Citizen.

White Deer Run
One Day at a Time circa 1980's These were given to clients or patients after successfully completing treatment at the White Deer Run Treatment Center for drug and alcohol problems in Allenwood Pennsylvania during the 1980's. There are other White Deer Run treatment centers at other locations but this came from Allenwood. A 19mm x 12.5mm medal White Deer Run - Family Day
Serenity Prayer Medal circa 1990's These are locations for White Deer Run Allenwood, PA 264 beds Kempton, PA 20 beds Lebanon, PA 40 beds York, PA 24 beds Bethlehem, PA 31 beds Johnstown, PA 30 beds Lancaster, PA 27 beds
