Someplace I have a 1941 version of that same anchor. I found it in circulation when I was a kid.

Yeah. I've always felt that way a little Coinfrog. Someplace at the beginning of this thread I called myself a 'black sheep' of coin collecting.

I think the two things that I like is the thrill of the hunt and the fact that it's not overly expensive.

Not quite sure what this is supposed to be. My first thought was an owl. Then after looking at it a little while I saw a tulip. Any other ideas?

1975-D LMC. I've seen this design of a cross in a crown in a regular counter stamp before but never in repousse. Must admit that it looks kind of cool.

Found this definition of the symbol:

The Crown and the Cross is a logo of the Knights Templar within the York Rite Appendage body. The Crown and the Cross is also a popular symbol in Christianity. This shows how the Knights Templar is founded on Christian principles and symbolism.

First thing I saw was a cross with emanating rays.


Tulip was my thought.
