One for each leg (proper leather straps also of course) and you are like a cat climbing a pole...a lot of fun! I have a couple pairs and have used them a LOT in the past. BTW - if you zoom that window picture you can see towards the middle top a counterstamped penny (on card) Chiefmasterj gifted me with b/c the insulator to the left came off the line the counterstamp (golden spike) represents .
