The dragon has a "cool" factor, but a flipping fish? Maybe it was a fisherman's club that made and gave them away, maybe a sale promo for seafood, maybe an aquarium had them made for souvenirs? Actually this specific counter stamp was made to be sold as a novelty. It was glued onto a business card that was part of a maybe 20 card set. (I'm not sure if I have all of them.) The one I just posted was one that I happened to run across without the card. I just learned that there is more to it than that. It is called the Heart Chakra Anahata. I wonder if these were the precursor to the modern day oval smashed pennies that the tourist machines produce? The kiosk machines that you insert 50 cents to a dollar plus a penny and crank it to smash a keepsake souvenir. Does anyone ever recall seeing machines for the purpose of selling souvenirs that could produce a pressed cent like this?
