First thought is Sri Lanka. For comparison here's a Massa coin of Queen Lilavati alongside yours...hopefully Ron or Finn will be along. They know more about these.

I looked at the coin for several minutes and had no idea, Bob I really don't know how you do it. In caparison to your reference I believe you are right.

He initiated that type of coin, but the later Sri Lanka types are typically round, and very well struck with clear legends; the more irregular types with indistinct legends are usually attributed to Raja Raja.
