jpsned Pillar of the Community United States 2238 Posts	Posted 02/03/2018 9:58 pm Off the top of my head, my lowest-mintage coin is an 1878-CC Trade dollar, 97,000 minted. Someone in our family (I think on my grandmom's side) kept a box of old coins and this was one of them. Sorry I don't have any pix. But suffice to say it's not a looker. Probably in VG-F condition but very dark and blotchy with several gouges--not chopmarks. Interesting observation from dealer Jack Beymer: "I've handled more 1794 dollars than 1878-CC Trade dollars." Interestingly, that equates to $3,237.85 in 1964-D nickels to acquire the same percentage of mintage (at face value). This means absolutely nothing, but I enjoy the comparisons.
