I was looking through some old photos and found the images below. Years ago, in an age before high resolution digital photography, I had the honor of helping a friend evaluate his father's collection. It was a very exciting experience and I directed him to a venue where he achieved outstanding prices for his coins. There were many desirable coins and only a few were photographed. I now wish we could have photographed more. This is the first coin that caught my eye. I wish I had higher resolution photos, but this is the best I have. I'm sharing these for your enjoyment! *** Moved by Staff moved to a more appropriate forum. ***

I'm not very good at MS coins, but that sure seems nice from a distance. Hopefully SLQ experts will chime in on FH status, etc.

Holy crap! Not only is it MS, but at least an MS-67++! No distractors anywhere, a clean coin, don't see them raw often!

That's a beauty. I'm a huge SLQ collector. Coincidentally, I just got my first 1917 (Type 1) coin yesterday. However, it's an XF 45 by NGC, so it's nowhere near the condition of the one you shared. Awesome!

That coin is so perfect it almost looks like a painting or something. Just to perfect.

Thank you all for your comments! I believe my friend had this coin slabbed by PCGS. I don't recall the grade it got because it was too long ago. I am sure a very happy collector (not me) owns this beauty now.
