I bought this coin a few weeks ago for about $4, labeled as "Khanate of Khoqand".

I proceeded to check all the Khoqand listings on Numista and Zeno, and could not find a match - but maybe I just wasn't looking well enough, and/or in the right places.
(It doesn't help that I can't read Arabic at all, so I just compared the shapes of the squiggles.)

Ultimately, I decided to leave this for other CCF members to identify - surely there should be enough detail for an attribution?
That said, I do admit that the coin is not in the best condition, and the photos suck...

17x15 mm, 2.42 grams.

For the record, I don't think any major design elements got washed out in the photos; the flat areas really are that flat (whether due to poor strike or complications from the hole - probably a bit of both).

[EDIT: attributed as Khanate of Khiva! changed title]

I see why it sold for $4. It would have tempted me.

I can't find a date on your coin but this seems to be the same ruler and type: https://www.zeno.ru/showphoto.php?photo=112925

Oh, so it's Khiva! That would explain why I didn't find it under Khoqand. Still neat.

Looking at Zeno photos, I think the date is 1306, at the very bottom of the first pic (mostly off flan, but the top of the 6 doesn't look like anything else); this example at Zeno appears to be a reasonable (though not exact) match.

(The other date area, around 4 hours on the second pic, is sadly mostly gone.)
