Daznar13 New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 01/23/2020 10:59 pm Hello I am completely new here, so my apologies if I am posting this topic/ question incorrectly in any way. I recently came across an 1879 Indian Head cent with a hole ( not perfectly round) through the upper part of the Indian Head. I imagine this was done after mint, only lowering any possible value this coin may have had, but due to my lack of experience/knowledge in this area of coins, I figured I'd give it a shot on here to see if anybody could help me out. Possible value/grade estimate? Any info about the coin is greatly appreciated as I'd love to learn more. Ty in advance. Report this Post to the Staff

Daznar13 New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 01/23/2020 11:58 pm Thank you. What I figured #128545; what a way to ruin such a cool piece of history. Almost looks as if someone did the glass/ mirror trick or however it's done and burnt the hole through it . Bummer, but thank you for the quick help nonetheless. Report this Post to the Staff

And it's value is 1¢ IF someone would accept it for a purchase. A bank would ship it back to the Mint and would get 1¢ in exchange. Report this Post to the Staff
