1993 D Penny Question, Is This An Error Or Something Else?

Hi, newbie here - I found this 1993 D penny with a weird doubling (atleast I'm assuming that). Was wondering if someone can tell me what this is.. under the mint mark off centered to the south East direction. The "silver" double d Is under the "real one" .. I looked at it under a microscope and it's actually raised, atleast that's what it looks like.. in other words I don't believe it's a stain issue. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks I'm advance!

to CCF. Photo is rough,but sounds like split copper plating not a doubled die.

The silver is actually zinc. The coating of copper plating was covering it, until after the strike it was split. Just a spender. The clock is counting down on this one.
