1926 Lincoln Wheat Cent - Silver Plated?

AliLyn Valued Member United States 88 Posts	Posted 05/09/2020 03:16 am I have a 1926 Lincoln Wheat cent that is silver in color with a normal weight of 3.1 g. Is it plated? Was there a promo or company that sold silver plated 1926 pennies, or another possibility of what this may be? Thanks!! Report this Post to the Staff

On the ime of the edge, I can see the copper showing on that area. Just a plated coin. Just a Wheat cent now. No premium to a true coin collector as the surface is altered.
