Hope everyone had a good Christmas and a fun New Year's Eve... I'm looking forward to jumping in to my penny roll searching again now... it's like opening a box of Cracker Jack... a prize in every box!

Actually, there's multiple prizes in every box, which is the problem. LOL I have FAR too many rolls of stuff these days and I've found myself getting pickier and pickier.

Yea, always check the 1972's VERY close so you don't miss the minor DDO's.

1972 DDO Die#4 is probably the least obvious of the DD in 1972, BUT it is worth the most if your selling. I sure hope I didn't let that one pass by...

Even though #4 is worth more than #1, Id rather find #1 because it is such an extreme looking DD.

I keep all my 72's and recheck the when things get slow.(like my wife coming back from the bank with $20 in pennies only to discover $15 are rolls I returned last week.)

Pretty nice box this weekend. Lots of red copper including a '59 and several '60's, several wheats, a roosie,a pretty nice 1903 IHP and a 1998 WAM!

1909 VBD in EF 40, I was shocked when I found one in that good condition in a bank roll.

Went through $10 in brinks rolls, came away 3 wheaties from the fifties and this guy...

Obverse has several "pin" marks across the LIBERTY, a deep pin mark on Lincoln's jaw, and more pin marks on the S and T of TRUST.

Reverse has the missing piece...don't know the official term for it. I can see under magnification the faint lettering of the missing A.

Jdot - That is simple PMD (Post Mint Damage) on your 95D. Get used to coins that look like that, you're going to find a lot of them.

BadThad, is there a good rule of thumb to tell difference between post mint and something that occurred at the mint?
