I found this real NICE 1982 D Quarter the letters In God We Trust are real fat look'n, looks different then most Quarters, it's a really nice Quarter!!

Your coin was struck with a VLDS (Very-Late-Die-State) die. Thus the distortion of of the motto area. As many as 54% of each dies coins will look look like that (or even worse) as the die ages.

ALL 1982 quarters have master die doubling. Like the others have said, this is VLDS.
