I stopped by a local burger joint to buy a couple milkshakes and I heard an uncommon noise when the change was handed to me. It was the unmistakable sound of silver quarters. I looked down and sure enough, silver! The lady who gave me the change said she had an entire roll of them. I gave her cash for the rest of the roll.

Free money

I post it here because my wife and kids the couldn't have cared less. I even shook the coins to illustrate the difference in the sound.

Anyway, I thought a few on here might appreciate it.

Silver at face value is always nice. Well done! You could add a pic or two of these new additions to this thread.

Very nice! Always fun even getting just one back in change, let alone a whole roll!

I prefer the sound of fingernails on a classroom chalkboard.

When the wife was a waitress a few years back, a man gave her $2 in dimes for a tip. She knows how I am with coins and brought them to be because they were "old and shiny"
They were all BU 1957 like he just took them from a roll. Not a bad tip now. Of course I kept them for myself...
Rest in Peace

For all we know, maybe they were mint state 1932 S Washington quarters?
Wouldn't the sound of jingling unc quarters make your skin crawl?
