I recently discovered this 1907 v nickle and notice something has scared it. Can anyone please help me to determine if it is a legitimate error are not? Thanks

Rim damage and cuts in the reverse field. All post-mint damage.

@cajun, yes I agree with the frog that your coin is damaged--I'm not seeing a mint error.

V-Nickels especially from the early 1900's were highly used in commerce thus worn and abused a lot .

It's a shame about those scratches, but the devices on your coin are actually decently strong for a V nickel!
