I'm pretty new to this, actually the Jackie Robinson set is really what got me interested so I have one on order.
I'm mainly curious to know if it is worth it to have them graded, and if the "first", "early" or other designation is actually meaningful for something like this.
Just curious what more experienced collectors think.
IMO, it wouldn't be worth the additional expense of sending the coin and medal (the Jackie Robinson piece is a medal vs. a coin) in for grading UNLESS the set explodes on the secondary market and graded pieces offered by dealers are selling at large premiums.
Just my view, others will have their views on it!
