Hi, everyone
I have come across a few coins that has yellowish oil on it,
Correct me if I'm wrong but I have seen this on metals as well not just coins, I think it's used in cutting process I have seen this on aluminium and sheet metal, just saying this because I have worked with metals in a extrusion company. So it's not a dirty coin lol

I think it's water-staining - coins that have been in fountains come out like this.

Sellotape residue used with older albums also makes coins look like this.
