... nice 1 GLB ..that Perth Mint surely does 1st class work... ...as opposed to Spain's Royal Mint of Madrid, who decided to make reading the correct date for this coin an eye test ... the "58" (for 1958) is enclosed in the small star at the 8:00 position, reverse side ... this series commemorative issue (for the I Ibero-American Exhibition of Numismatics and Medals ) was minted from 1958 through 1975, with each year's (correct) date so displayed ... ...

A good example of not-so-obvious dual dating.

very nice MrWhiskers! I'm glad you know about that tiny date star on these coins. I learned about that a few years ago..

I don't typically go in for large format, five-ounce "coins" but, when the Royal Canadian Mint adapted the design of its classic "Goose" Silver Dollar from 1967 - its Canadian Centennial year - for a five-ounce "coin" to help mark its Sesquicentennial of Confederation in 2017, I decided to go for it! I think the selective gold-plating sealed the deal for me - I'm a fan!
