This 1745 1/48 thaler was struck in Dresden for circulation in Saxony and Poland.

After 1720 is when I really start to slow down a bit, I have only 22 of the years between 1600-1699, and even worse after that with only 4 coins in the 1500s; beyond that my oldest is 1279-1307 (no date)

Here is an odd one. Duchy of Modena, 1741 giorgino.
The reverse has an image of San Contardo. He was a member of the Este family, who ruled Ferrara from the 14th century to 1597, and ruled Modena until the Napoleonic era. Rather than pursue a political or military career, he was was a quieter type, and unfortunately fell ill and died while on a pilgrimage to Compostella, Spain. I suppose most pilgrims would have been buried along the way without much fanfare, but being of noble blood, Contardo wound up being elevated to sainthood (most noble Italian families had a saint or two on the family tree
