We were talking about different coins, actually I was asking JohnConduitt about their coin. I had no reason to doubt the labeled date placement on your coin, and I very much apologize for accidentally misleading you into doing so. And yeah, milestone! This is the final day before we can end the Sixth edition and start the Eighth. I estimated it as "August 15th" a while back and it looks like I've matched the catch-up date exactly (unless someone jumps in with something from 1367 at the last moment).

Maybe someone can confirm my math, but I'm thinking that the soonest the 8th edition can catch this one is June 19, 2026.

I said they should have left the 6th edition running one more day. Maybe I shouldn't have pointed it out...

Quote: Maybe I shouldn't have pointed it out... Yes, it would have helped. I completely missed it. If you had, I absolutely would have left it open one more day.

[EDIT: fault issue clarified, emoji spam edited out]
...so it really was my fault after all. Unfortunately it's now too late to fix. (emoji posted 768 times in honor of the AH 768 coin - EDIT: now removed)

I mean more for the "too late to fix" part.
(though also, seriously, why didn't you leave the thread open for those last few hours? was it literally just to spite me? if so, yes, thanks, you succeeded, I now very deservedly feel like I'm the worst CCF member to ever get Pillar of the Community status - and I'm only describing it like that because I admit that some of the spammers might have been worse)
[EDIT: some clarification because on re-read I think there might be a misunderstanding there. I'm not asking about the newly posted coin at all. I'm wondering whether my comment on the 6th edition was the reason you locked the 6th edition thread early instead of keeping it open. By the time that other coin had been posted on Around the World, the 6th edition thread had already been locked - though that coin would have been legal to post there at the time if it hadn't been locked hours too early - and I never saw it anyway until it was linked here because I hadn't been keeping up with Around the World for years. But even if, theoretically, I had seen it, I would have had nowhere to point it out in, because the 6th edition thread had been locked. (...In fact I think by the time it was posted I was already in bed and didn't wake up until after midnight forum time, so I couldn't have pointed it out anyway.)
OTOH if the 6th edition was still open at the time maybe the coin would have been immediately posted there instead, and that (or, rather, the suggestion that it was only closed because I said it shouldn't be) is the possibility I'm beating myself over.]
