York County, Maine is not known for soaring mountain peaks, but it does have eight mountains with elevations of 1,000 feet or higher. On the reverse of the 1936 York County, ME Tercentenary Half Dollar, the sun is presented rising above the mountains in the background with Brown's Garrison in the foreground.

@Dearborn (and others!): ICYWW: (Per Numista) Regarding the reverse of your Mexico 20 Centavos coin: in the center is the Pyramid of the Sun surrounded by volcanoes on either side. To the right is Popocatepetl (known as "the Smoking Mountain"), an active volcano, and to the left is Iztaccihuatl (known as "the White Woman), a dormant volcano..I "had" to look it up! Thanks for sharing!

Heading north (for me) over the US-Canada border, here's a 2005 silver $5 commemorative coin that marked the centennial of the province of Alberta joining the Canadian Confederation. In the background on the reverse is seen a segment of the Alberta Rockies - a part of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Canada also issued a 2005 25-cent coin with the same design (except for the denomination specification). For more, see: 2005 Alberta Centennial Silver $5 - Coin 1 Of 12
