Thank you, Errers. I wonder if this is the first NGCX coin posted on the forum. Probably not.

Again, another very nice ASE you have there GLB49I personally don't like this type of grading system (NGCX), as it reminds me of graded baseball cards... Baseball cards are graded by examining various features of the card, unlike coins.

Thank you, CoinForMe. I believe NGCs idea was to attract collectors of other things to collecting coins. I'm not sure if it's going to work or not. But, I wanted a few in my ASE collection.

Quote: I believe NGCs idea was to attract collectors You're correct GLB49, I heard the same thing... However, if a rating standard is already in place, why change it to complicate things even more for these graders? You're in trouble GLB49, you might get an email from someone saying " Buy the Coin, not the Label"... I was watching this guy on the home shopping network the other day selling 2025 ASE with a Privy mark on them, a good talker but a crappy product to some... It's all about MONEY to the US Mint and this Seller on the Home Shopping Network... Please tell me, what will be next?

NGC will continue using the Sheldon scale and I assume when a person submits a coin for grading they choose if they want Sheldon or X. I think the X scale will eventually fade away because I don't see it attracting any new collectors. People who collect comic books, sports cards or stamps are already aware of coin collecting and a familiar 10 grade is not going to bring them over.

Quote: It's all about MONEY to the US Mint I agree, CoinForMe. We've seen that with the rising costs of ASEs and Silver Proof Sets. Also with the numerous privy marks on the ASE.
