Mike, silver coins from six countries sounds like more than it really is. From the US I only collect ASEs since I'm caught up with my Kennedys, Ikes, Franklins, etc. From Canada I collect the Maple Leaf, Wildlife Series and Predator Series. From Mexico it's the 1 oz Silver Libertad only. From Great Britain I collect the Britannia and St, Helena coins. From South Africa it's the silver Krugerrand. From Australia I collect the Silver Swan, a few Kangaroos and several recent dragon coins. But, I'm done with the Kangaroo and dragon coins.

Billy I'm not sure where you could find original selling prices for ASE bullion coins. I've only been collecting silver coins for a few years so I had to work backwards to complete sets. I had to pay more recent prices for older coins so my Excel lists do not have original prices.

Thanks, MD. If it includes the release prices for the bullion examples then I'll add it to my bookshelf.

P.S. It's currently on sale at the Whitman web site. They must be getting a new edition ready. . .

Yes, things have changed when you consider the fact that we just paid $95 for a 2025 ASE Proof.

So... As we continue to add all the verities of ASE's to our collection where do we house or display them? All my proofs and burnished are in their mint boxes and sets, taking up lots of real-estate in my safe. My bullion ASE's are nicely housed in an album with all the first reverse years in one album but the new reverse years are loose. I do plan on a second generation album and should I include the "star" marked coins? Will they continue to add these and additional verities in the future? When will we see colorized mint issued ASE's? How about square minted ones? I think this is the largest quaintly set that the US mint has issued. Just ranting here I guess.

All of my silver coins, including my ASEs, remain in the original packaging and are placed in 4 mil zip lock baggies. All bullion coins go directly into plastic coin capsules and small zip lock baggies that are labeled. The coins are stored in bankers boxes and yes, they take up a lot of room.

Coins are like any other collectible when it comes to packaging. The original package adds to the value and condition of the package also determines value. That's why I put everything into zip lock baggies.
I don't sell any of my coins but someday my kids may want to sell some of what they inherit which is why I protect the packages with sturdy baggies.
