The cruciform shields reverse was a standard design for British silver (and some gold) coins for many years. Here are some examples of how the design evolved:

1697 Halfcrown - King William III:
Post-A-Trio-Of-Coins.
1887 Florin - Queen Victoria (newspaper reporters of the time said that this design looked like alternating tea trays and pokers!):

1936 Florin - KIng George V. Until the issue of the first King Charles III 50p in 2023, this was the last use of the cruciform shields on a circulating British coin:

No, I would just throw out a low bid and if I won that was a plus. I had added a page to a blank Kennedy half Dansco and thought filling it up with the more common commemoratives would be the way I went.
