I forgot to image my album - I'll have to post it tomorrow - too dark to get good pictures. So in the mean time I'll just post up one nickel:

We're on Day 2 of Buffalo nickels! Quote: I did these about 4-5 years ago. The cost has gone up and the quality of the coins has gone down.
If doing it again, I doubt I would get more than 20% from the "pile" as most are now in 2 by 2's and more expensive That makes sense. Most dealer bins I see now are either assorted modern coins or the usual world coins. Quote: This is the best I can do for bison 10/10 cuteness award! Quote: So in the mean time I'll just post up one nickel: Major points will be awarded if you squeeze that into a Dansco album.

That would have to be a huge album to fit that - (It measures about 12 inches in diameter.. )

I've been enjoying reading along but with nothing to share. Great albums so far by everyone. But soon - I'll be able to show my CRH complete Jefferson 7113.

OK!! here it is - my shamefully well worn out Buffalos all neatly in my 7112 album (the 1913's (top row are the only ones that have been upgraded to BU grades so far. On the last page, last holes, (all by itself is my 1938-DDDS RPM/OMM - in BU condition as well) 7112 Buffalo nickels - Page 1 (Top Row Only)

Awesome set, Dearborn! Those buffaloes may have roamed far and wide, but they've found a good home. I find it strange that Dansco included the 1918-D 8/7 and the 1937-D 3 Legged nickels.

Quote: I find it strange that Dansco included the 1918-D 8/7 and the 1937-D 3 Legged nickels yeah, me too - which leave 2 extra holes I need to fill somehow.. But first I want to finish upgrading all the 'shamefully worn' nickels to shiny new uncirculated ones

Quote: I find it strange that Dansco included the 1918-D 8/7 and the 1937-D 3 Legged nickels. Something I avoided by using blank nickel pages. I suspect when Dansco first did this album layout—probably fifty or more years ago—these two varieties were relatively more common and affordable to the smaller population of collectors at the time.
