However, I do seem to detect a faint seam (or at least a horizontal line) along the edge. That would be consistent with the reverse face of two nickels being ground off and the two coins then being joined together by solder or some adhesive. If there is no detectable seam on either face or the edge, then test the coin's ring. If it's a Magician's coin, it should give off a dull "thunk".
