I've decided I'm not giving up on my collection. I am, however, slowing down a bit. My OCD is getting the best of me, and ruining an enjoyable hobby for me. I have decided that I am going to look for affordable coins for now, in the best condition I can find.
After the end of the year, which I always have a ton of money via Christmas/Birthday, I plan on going on a shopping spree and picking up all the expensive semi key date coins in nice grades. Also need that darn 1970-S small date still. I will obtain this then.
In regards to the 1909-S, 1914-D and the 1931-S, key dates I had planned on getting eventually. I don't know what I will be doing about this. It's out of my budget at the current moment.
I recently purchased another #7100 album, which I found on ebay for a pretty good price considering it was basically brand new. Before shipping, it was around 30 bucks.
They are the same exact album. However, they appear slightly different, one by the slightly darker color in the album cover material. The plastic slides are also different.
They are like, one sided, so you can tell which side you are supposed to put in. Must be an older album, as Dansco doesn't do this now.

I was going to send this back initially, and get an album solely for Shield cents. But I figured, why? I ordered another blank cent page, and I will add all the Shield cents to that. Seems like kind of a waste since I got this entire album for the price of what it would cost for a Shield cent album new.
So, I plan on doing both albums. However, I won't really actively be filling in slots with the new #7100 album just yet. However, there are many ways I could go about it. It will be a bit tougher now since cent rolls are basically impossible to find.
I am also considering doing the Shield cent proofs as well.
So the first album, will be like this I figured:
Higher grade album, with proofs in the end via empty spots and blank pages
Second album:
Sort of an overflow album for extra cents, with Shield cents in the end via blank page
I think this will work perfectly fine for me.
