Got three new coins today for the album that I needed 1918, 1920-S and 23-S I was hoping the 1923-S would be in a little bit better shape, but oh well I guess. It will do for now. Reverses This 1918 is a replacement for the one I've had that has seen better days I have decided not to continue with the 8100 album, and it will go back to Amazon. I don't know, personally... The proof only Lincoln cents really don't interest me. Don't get me wrong, they are beautiful coins. However, I just don't really like the way they look with my business strikes. I do enjoy some of the earlier proofs, before 1975, and I've opted to use some of them in place of the business strikes since they look nicer. However, outside of that... I just don't feel like making the move to go all out and collect them all. I am taking that time/energy/money to focus on other collections. I am still avidly waiting that 1910-S I have coming from ebay!

Thanks, jbuck. I'm also sort of at the rationale that I would personally rather upgrade the coins in my set, as opposed to worrying about proofs. I think over time, this is what I will do. After I receive the 10-S, there will be only three coins left in this page that I need. That is, at least in terms of the capacity of what I am collecting. Same here. For me, the only ones I need personally are the 22-D and 24-D. I don't consider the 22 plain a part of this set personally, so it's not a coin I will ever attempt to purchase. Besides, it's outside of my budget anyways lol I may, however, at some point attempt to find a decently priced "weak D" variety, and put it in the slot. Until then, I'll use the reverse.

I'd like to upgrade the ones on this page eventually that aren't BU. Obtaining these in UNC really shouldn't cost too much, unlike a lot of the earlier Wheat cents. I still need the 1960 small date for this page, and will upgrade several of the coins eventually. I also don't have that dreaded 70-S small date, and honestly, I don't think I will ever purchase one either. Here is one of the "proof" issues that I opted to use as a hole filler instead of the business strike. Nice coin

Thank you, friends. I am excited that I was able to order another semi key date coin today. I ordered the 1912-S and so far, I believe this has cost more than any single Lincoln Cent I've purchased so far, coming in close to 40 bucks after shipping. Luckily, it was a gift to me from someone else. So I mean, it didn't cost me anything This is the photo from the listing. So far, the seller has been pretty close with their images and the actual quality of the coin. I believe the grade was VG, which is why it cost so much. After this, I still have the 1911-S, 1914-S, 1922-D and 1924-D to purchase. The 1911-S from what I've been looking at is ridiculously expensive. I've seen some listings at around 60 bucks. I think XF grade is probably out of the question for this coin. I will post some more pics when I acquire the coinage
